NHS Health Checks

If you are aged 40 to 74 and have no pre-existing conditions (such as heart disease, diabetes, or high blood pressure) you are entitled to a free NHS Health Check every 5 years. 

The appointment takes about 20 to 30 minutes and is designed to assess your risk of developing heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, kidney disease, or dementia. 

During your appointment you will be asked a few questions on your lifestyle, we will record your height, weight, and BP, then a quick blood test will be taken to check your cholesterol.  The results will be sent to your own GP for review.
